Disaster Restoration

FIRE · SMOKE · WATER

When you suffer a devastating loss, be it fire, smoke, storm damage, water damage, sewage, animals, vandalism or trauma,  you want to be able to get in touch with someone who can respond to your needs promptly.

Top Ten Reasons to use First Call:

1.  We will call you back immediately in response to any emergency call, 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week.

2.  We are the only full service certified firm located in Alamance County.  Our response time to most locations is within  an hour.

3.  By the second hour we are in the process of setting up drying equipment (in the event of a water loss) and/or working to wrap up the emergency service. We believe that prompt action makes the difference in eliminating structural damage to property.

4.  We monitor and document daily moisture and humidity readings. We concentrate our efforts on safely drying, deodorizing & disinfecting the area damaged by water to prevent any mold issues.

5.  We have on staff an NC Licensed General Contractor as well as a Certified Master Restorer.  Both are Certified Mold Technicians.

6.  Our team includes people that can both restore your structure and your precious belongings; damaged dolls, photos, and jewelry just to name a few.  We use FRSTeam fabric restoration specialists to clean and deodorize your clothing and keep a very detailed inventory of items that cannot be restored so that you can have them replaced by your insurance company with minimal inconvenience.

7.  We will advise you free of charge on any issue you think you may be having in your home (regarding odor, smoke or soot damage, water, etc.).  We even have the capability to put dataloggers and/ or the Air Advice monitoring system in your home at NO CHARGE TO YOU to determine if you have a problem with mold, humidity, or carbon monoxide levels.

8.  The state requires us to guarantee our structural work or repairs for 1 year.  We give a 5 year guarantee.

9.  We agree to do the work for insurance pricing.  There are companies that will invoice you additional charges for the insurance covered items.  We do not!  We collect the co-pay (deductible) and only charge you if you decide to make an upgrade to your home or a change that was not affected by the loss.

10.  We work for YOU, the homeowner and your happiness and satisfaction is our number one goal.  We will do whatever it takes to Leave You Like New!

We work with you to fully repair your home.  Some companies offer emergency services only and leave the homeowner with a damaged house to repair.  By offering reconstruction services as well we are a full service company.

If you suspect you may have soot damage from a furnace malfunction, kitchen fire or a cracked heat exchanger:

Call Us!  We will come to your home for FREE and test your walls and surfaces with a chemical sponge to determine if you have damage.  Often, if you act quickly enough, the damages can be covered under your homeowner's insurance policy.  It is important that you let us work with your heating and air company.  If the faulty equipment is discarded, the insurance claim may be denied because there is not enough proof to validate it as a claim.

It is also a good idea to buy a carbon monoxide detector.  Carbon Monoxide can be released when a furnace or stove malfunctions and, because this poisonous  gas is odorless, you may not notice the leak.  These detectors can be purchased from a home improvement store for about $20.
